Bulleted Lists

If you have to list more than three things, create a bulleted list.

Make sure that your list is consistent across bullets grammatically and stylistically. Here are some examples of things that could be bulleted, in a bulleted list:

  • Dates formatted identically

  • Names with capitalized titles first

  • Actions with a verb starting the bullet

Usage Notes

Do not put periods at the end of each bullet.

If an individual bullet has multiple sentences, however, DO add periods to the sentences.

Do not further delineate bulleted items by adding a semicolon to the end of each item.

Capitalize the first word of each item.
